When planning the shoot, we knew we wanted a city landscape that would be both iconic and beautiful. After discussing a few options, the Sydney Opera House stood out as the perfect backdrop. It wasn’t just the striking architecture—it’s also such a essential part of Sydney’s charm. While our original shoot date didn’t go as planned due to bad weather, rescheduling turned out to be great. On the new day, we were greeted with gorgeous, skies, which made the photos even more stunning than we imagined. Everything just fell into place perfectly!

We met on a public holiday Monday, and while there were plenty of people wandering around the Opera House (which is probably the case every day), we still managed to find our perfect moments. That’s one of the reasons I love shooting family photoshoots at the Opera House in Sydney—it’s all about finding the right angles and being creative.
I prefer doing these city family photo sessions early in the morning when the crowds are lighter, but even on busy days, we found spots where the family could truly shine. In post-processing, I edited out some of the extra distractions, making sure the family’s love and connection were front and centre.
