When this couple reached out to me saying they were about to leave Sydney and wanted to capture their time here with a Bondi Beach photoshoot, I knew right away it was going to be something special. As a Sydney couples photographer, I always love when clients want to celebrate their connection in an iconic location — and a photoshoot at Bondi Beach is truly one of the best spots for that. During our video call (something I do with all my future clients), I felt an instant connection with them — maybe because my husband is from the same country as they are, or simply because we shared a great vibe. When they mentioned that their dream was an early morning couples photoshoot at Bondi Beach, I immediately started checking my calendar to make it happen. There was just one little challenge: they were about to leave Sydney, and I was away in Europe at the time (still photographing, of course, even if it was meant to be a bit of a holiday!). We didn’t have to wake up at a crazy hour for sunrise — in spring the sun rises a little later, so you still get that dreamy golden light without needing to set an alarm at 4 am. It’s honestly one of the best times for a Bondi Beach photoshoot in Sydney, especially for couples who want both the iconic backdrop and a relaxed, intimate atmosphere.

Since they had chosen my Glimpse Session, the actual Bondi Beach couples photoshoot didn’t even take a full hour — which is one of the reasons usually many families with small kids love this package. It’s short and sweet, but still captures all those candid, joyful moments that tell your story. We walked along the shoreline, laughed, and soaked in the iconic Bondi atmosphere while I snapped away the photos. After we wrapped up the photoshoot, we weren’t quite ready to say goodbye just yet, so we grabbed a coffee nearby and had a lovely conversation.
