A Giveaway Win That Turned Into Something Really Special


Naomi and Vincent won a short couples photoshoot through one of my birthday giveaways. They're the kind of couple who actually enjoy being photographed, who make it a little tradition wherever life takes them. Last year it was Vietnam. This year, Western Sydney.

They came with nice positive energy and ideas, at one point we were seriously considering a session inside a Timezone arcade, which I love as a concept. But in the end we kept something more natural and easygoing, the kind of candid couples photoshoot where I guide them through prompts and they simply get to be themselves. That's exactly my style. I'm not just a "stand there and smile" photographer, I give directions, I create little moments, and I let the genuine connection between two people do the rest.

For location, I suggested a few options around Sydney and we landed on Nurragingy Reserve in Blacktown. The park has everything: beautiful mature trees, stunning buildings, open lawns, and the kind of natural light that makes portraits look effortlessly good no matter the time of day. It's one of Western Sydney's most underrated photoshoot locations, and a favourite of mine for couples photography in Western Sydney, family sessions, and pretty much everything in between. Also the park is dog friendly! Such a win!

The session was fun, relaxed, and full of laughs, and when Naomi and Vincent saw their gallery, they loved the photos so much they purchased additional images beyond what was included in their giveaway package.
