behind the camera
Welcome, my name is Eva
I'm a Sydney Based Family and Couples photographer. I always look at the bright side of life.
I have a very easy going and laid back personality which helps a lot during photoshoots especially when all the kids are running around and your puppy doesn't sit still :)
My super smart and handy husband, sometimes appears on our family photo sessions to help out.
This is me and my family on the photo :)

Photographer in North-West Sydney, Hills district, Northern Beaches or Anywhere Beyond
I'm spending most of my time on the north side of beautiful Sydney, therefore all the locations I can recommend are here. These are the places I know the best and I'm most comfortable with.
As I am taking photos of families with horses and other animals, I do travel beyond Sydney too. Just get in touch and tell me your dream location and we will work out all things around it.

Can I include my dog or horse in the photoshoot?
Yes! I love including pets in family photos. I regularly photograph dogs and horses alongside their humans in a safe, relaxed way. Sessions can be tailored to your pet’s personality, whether you want them in action or calm poses. Popular locations in Sydney and nearby areas like Maraylya, Dural, Hills district like Rouse Hill make this easy.
What locations do you recommend for a family photoshoot in Sydney?
I choose locations based on your family, pets, and the style you want. Some favourites include:
Northern Beaches (Mosman, Balmoral, North Curl Curl)
Hills District and Maraylya (perfect for horses)
Parks and beaches that are pet-friendly and scenic
I can also suggest private farms or properties if you prefer a more personal setting.
How long does a family photoshoot usually take?
Most sessions last 1–2 hours, depending on your family, pets, and the type of package you want. I like to keep things relaxed, giving kids and pets plenty of breaks to ensure natural, happy moments.
What should we wear for the photoshoot?
Simple, comfortable clothing works best. Neutral tones or soft colours complement outdoor locations. I’ll guide you on outfit ideas, including what works with pets and horses, so your photos look cohesive and timeless. (For the ladies I also have few dresses available to use from my client wardrobe)
Can you photograph action shots with horses?
Absolutely. I capture both posed portraits and natural action shots. Safety is always my priority — both for your family and the horses. Whether it’s riding shots (riding only with your own horse) or gentle interaction, I’ll help make it look effortless and beautiful.
How do we get our final photos?
After the photoshoot, I provide a private online gallery where you can view all images. You can select your favourites for editing, and I offer both digital downloads and high-quality prints.
Do you travel for photoshoots outside Sydney?
Yes! I cover Sydney and surrounding NSW areas. For horse or farm sessions, I often travel to locations like the Hills District, Maraylya, Oaks, Cattai. Travel fees may apply for further locations — I’ll discuss options when booking.
Can we book a session as a gift or voucher?
Definitely. Photography vouchers are available and make a thoughtful gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or special occasions. Vouchers include the session, editing, and digital images, and can be redeemed at your convenience.
How early should we book?
It’s best to book 4–6 weeks in advance, especially if you want a weekend or holiday session. For popular locations or sessions with horses, early booking ensures we get the perfect date and time.
Can I have a family photoshoot with my kids, dog, and horse at the same time in Sydney?
Yes! I specialise in photographing families with pets and horses. I plan sessions carefully so everyone — kids, dogs, and horses — is comfortable and safe. Locations like Maraylya, Hills District like Box Hill, Rouse Hill, Gables, Anangrove at your own property, are ideal for these mixed sessions, capturing natural moments without stress.
Where in Sydney can we do a dog-friendly outdoor family photoshoot?
Some of my favourite dog-friendly spots include Northern Beaches beaches, Mosman, and the Hills District open spaces. I can also suggest private paddocks or farms for a more personal experience. Every location is chosen for scenery, safety, and pet comfort.
How do we prepare our dog or horse for a family photoshoot?
Bring your pet’s favourite treats, toys, and anything that makes them comfortable. Gentle exercise before the session helps dogs stay calm. For horses, make sure they are groomed and relaxed. I’ll guide you on timing, positions, and interactions to make the photoshoot smooth and fun.
Can you do action shots with dogs running or horses moving naturally?
Absolutely! I capture movement and interaction for pets and horses while keeping the session safe. Whether it’s dogs playing, running, or horses walking and trotting, I create dynamic images that feel alive and natural.
How can we make our family photoshoot with pets look natural and relaxed?
I focus on real moments, not forced poses. We’ll play games, explore the location, and capture genuine interaction. I coach lightly on positions and expressions, but most of the magic comes from letting kids and pets be themselves.
Do you offer family photoshoots on private farms or equestrian properties in NSW?
Yes! I often photograph on private farms, stables, and equestrian properties. These locations are perfect for horse-friendly sessions, giving natural backdrops and plenty of space for pets and kids. I work with owners to ensure safety and ease.
Can we include multiple horses or dogs in a single photoshoot?
Yes! I have experience managing sessions with multiple animals, whether it’s a herd of horses, several dogs, or a mix. I plan the session to capture interactions naturally, keeping everyone safe and calm while getting beautiful, memorable images.
What is the best time of day for a family photoshoot with pets and horses in Sydney?
Golden hour (just after sunrise or before sunset) is ideal. The light is soft and warm, perfect for outdoor sessions. For pets and horses, early morning works well before it gets too hot, keeping everyone relaxed and happy.
How do you handle unpredictable pets or horses during a photoshoot?
I stay flexible and patient. Breaks, treats, and short playful interactions help calm nerves. I use my experience to turn unpredictability into candid, joyful moments — often some of the most memorable images come from these spontaneous interactions.
